In 2007, A.J. Edwards was searching for a way to honor the tradition of head coverings in her church. She looked for something that felt right for her personality—something elegant and versatile, yet humble.

A Woman of Resourcefulness At the time, the "fancy" church hats on the market were out of reach financially and simply too flashy for A.J.’s style. She didn't want to stand out; she wanted to Draw Near in worship with a quiet, dignified presence.

Taking matters into her own hands, she found a design she loved and replicated it without a pattern. She chose fabrics that spoke to her soul—rich textures and soft materials that provided comfort without being "too much."

Stitched with Love A.J. began using her leftover fabric to create hats for other women in her circle, realizing that many others were looking for that same balance of affordability and elegance.
